Whenever you step into a themed restaurant, it’s a gamble that can result disastrously or wonderfully. Luckily, Brunch House falls into the latter category, impressing with its execution of a delightful concept. It delivered all the brunch essentials one could hope for.
Upon arrival, a courteous host welcomed us and efficiently led us to our table. The waiter, attentive throughout our stay, promptly took our order for drinks which included espresso martinis, a breakfast-themed margarita, and a twist on the classic old-fashioned. It was a delight to find that the drinks were crafted as skillfully as at any leading cocktail bar.
Our dining experience began with a giant cinnamon roll, arguably the finest I’ve ever tasted. It arrived warm, its moist dough enriched with the perfect balance of cream cheese frosting, the sweetness melding flawlessly with the cinnamon’s spice and buttery dough. Following that, we shared biscuits and gravy, featuring freshly-made biscuits under a blanket of peppery, sausage gravy with two perfectly-cooked eggs on top. The benedict and farmer’s scramble were equally satisfying, maintaining traditional flavors and offering fluffy, well-cooked eggs. Additionally, we tried the Beach Side Smashburger which included crispy fried patties on a warm bun, crowned with a tangy Sriracha goat cheese that complemented the pineapple and bacon ideally.
Our brunch concluded with bloody marys, crafted by a bartender who seemed to master the art of balancing flavors and presentation. With garnishes of crispy chicken, bacon, velvety deviled eggs, and sweet Belgian waffles, these drinks were as visually impressive as they were delicious. We sampled both the chicken and waffles version and another adorned with deviled eggs and bacon. Offered with or without alcohol, these drinks are essential to try during any visit.
My overall experience at Brunch House was fantastic. The ambiance was hip and had a cool vibe. Everyone working there was extremely friendly, and the service was spot on. The food was not only presented well but also had great flavor and inventiveness to keep it fresh and new. The cocktail, mocktail and beverage program was great, with a variety of drink options for everyone. I know we’ll be coming back with bells on!
