Santé Lounge has recently opened its doors in Upper Kirby, offering a unique cocktail experience and a refined dining option within Houston. The venue debuted in December and is inspired by the French term "Santé," meaning "cheers." Owner Sina Khaef drew inspiration from his travels, particularly a memorable moment sipping champagne in Paris. His vision was to recreate the European nightlife vibe in Houston with a blend of crafted cocktails, music, art, and stylish decor.
Khaef expressed his pride in creating a sophisticated and tasteful destination, perfect for enjoying time with friends and colleagues. The lounge features a diverse setting divided into four distinct areas, including a garden adorned with olive trees, a DJ booth area, a section adjacent to the garden, and an outdoor patio.
The drink menu showcases a selection of artistic cocktails, all curated to pair with iconic artworks. Developed by Matthew Medina, known for his work at other Houston hotspots, the cocktails include creative names and presentations that reflect famous art pieces. Notable mentions are the “Man at The Crossroads,” inspired by Diego Rivera, and an old-fashioned cocktail linked to Paul Cézanne’s “Three Pears.”
Food offerings at Santé Lounge include an array of gourmet bites such as oysters, artisanal cheese boards, and handcrafted flatbreads named after renowned artists. The venue emphasizes a high-end atmosphere with elegant interior decor that features vintage chandeliers, jewel-toned seating, and rotating art displays.
