The 14th Annual Charity event "Cocktails for a Cause," organized by the Collision Industry Foundation (CIF), witnessed a record attendance of over 200 industry members at the CASCADE Lounge of the Agua Caliente Casino in Palm Springs, CA, on January 21. This event aims to support industry members affected by catastrophes through fundraising efforts.
The evening featured a live auction with prizes linked to iconic NASCAR races, including the Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 400.
Outgoing CIF President Dan Risley from CCC Intelligent Solutions welcomed attendees and expressed gratitude for their support, emphasizing that without their generous contributions, the CIF could not accomplish its mission. A presentation showcased some of the assistance the CIF has provided over two decades, illustrating the foundation’s impact on the collision repair industry.
In line with its mission of providing emergency relief, Risley announced that CIF has commenced donations to collision repair professionals severely impacted by the recent Southern California wildfires. A total of $250,000 has been earmarked for requests related to these disasters, with a donation campaign established to support affected industry colleagues.
Risley highlighted the growing support from companies and individuals participating as Annual Donors, a program initiated in 2021 to ensure ongoing resources for the foundation. This is critical for responding to catastrophic events in the industry. Interested parties can learn more about becoming an Annual Donor by contacting CIF at collisionindustryfoundation@gmail.com or reaching out to a trustee.
