Caroline Pardilla, an early pioneer in the cocktail blogging scene, is celebrating the release of her latest book, Margarita Time: 60+ Tequila & Mezcal Cocktails, Served Up, Over & Blended. With over 60 unique recipes from top mixologists worldwide, this compilation pays tribute to the classic margarita.
Pardilla began her journey more than two decades ago during the cocktail renaissance in Los Angeles, initially gaining recognition through her blog, Caroline on Crack. Her accolades include being named LA Weekly’s "Best Bar Blogger" and serving as a judge for prestigious awards such as the LA Spirits Awards and the James Beard Awards.
To mark the occasion of her book release, Pardilla is hosting a book signing party at Shaker Mill on Saturday, July 12, from 3 to 6 p.m. This celebration will feature sponsorship from St. George Spirits, where attendees will enjoy a tasting led by Carin Larson, showcasing their premium spirits.
Among the cocktails served at the event are the Shaker Mill’s famed Jaguar Moon margarita made with St. George’s Chile Vodka, a mezcal margarita jello shot, and a mango-mezcal Boozy Snow Cone. Guests can look forward to a delightful afternoon filled with refreshing drinks and the opportunity to celebrate Pardilla’s new summer read.
