Google has introduced innovative AI travel tools within Canvas and Google Flights to simplify the trip planning process. Whether you are organizing travel for a group or seeking the best airfare for a quick getaway, these features aim to enhance your experience.
The new features, announced recently, allow users to build comprehensive itineraries tailored to their travel requirements. In AI Mode, travelers can specify the type of trip and request various recommendations. The tool generates a plan within a side panel that incorporates real-time data, including flight and hotel options, Google Maps details such as photos and reviews, and relevant information from various websites. This setup not only compares hotels based on price and amenities but also suggests local dining and activities, optimizing travel time for each location.
Travel planning with Canvas is currently available for desktop users who have opted into the AI Mode experiment in the U.S.
In addition to organizing travel, Google’s AI features also include agentic capabilities that simplify the booking process for restaurants, event tickets, and services. By inputting your preferences, AI Mode searches across numerous booking platforms to find available reservations that meet your criteria. It connects users directly to booking partners like OpenTable and Ticketmaster for seamless transactions.
For cost-savvy travelers, the Flight Deals tool has also been unveiled, which utilizes AI to help users discover affordable travel destinations. By sharing their travel preferences, users receive insights into the best available pricing across various destinations.
These new AI-driven tools promise to enhance enthusiasm for travel plans while saving users time and money.
