A popular steakhouse chain, Logan’s Roadhouse, has announced a trial run for THC-infused cocktails at select locations in Texas. Known for its mesquite wood-fire grilled steaks and Southern-inspired cuisine, the chain will introduce three new drink options at a special bar event at 5 PM on June 8.
The cocktails will be available for $9.99 each and feature a hemp-derived THC-infused spirit containing five milligrams of THC per drink, which is legal under federal law and permissible in Texas. This offering presents an alternative to traditional alcoholic beverages, appealing to a growing market of consumers seeking low-dose options.
Guests aged 21 and older can opt for a tasting flight of all three cocktails for the same price, giving them a full experience of the new beverages. The selections include:
- Scarlet Haze: Prickly pear with lemon and lime
- Pineapple Express: A fruity mixture of pineapple, orange juice, and grenadine
- High Tide: A blend of pineapple and coconut flavors
According to Shawn VanWinkle, the Vice President of Marketing for Logan’s Roadhouse, the decision to include THC cocktails is in response to evolving guest preferences in beverages, particularly those seeking alcohol substitutes. Each guest is limited to three THC cocktails, and these cannot be ordered alongside any alcoholic drinks.
Logan’s Roadhouse operates over 115 locations across the United States, primarily in the South and Midwest, with numerous venues situated in Texas cities, including Dallas, Houston, and McAllen.
